Meryl Masterson’s Home Plate Cookies, LLC

Christ Follower, Wife, Mother, Baker, Giver…to name a few

In 2009 Meryl Masterson decided to take her love for baking to the internet. In college Meryl and Justin’s sister, Mandy, would provide these delicious cookies for the Bethel College Pilots baseball team. Rumors say this may have led to two record seasons for the Pilots.

While her husband was playing in the minor leagues Meryl thought she would bring some of her home
baking to his teammates, and did they ever appreciate it. When her husband would move up in the Boston
organization teammates would be sad because they would be missing out on Meryl’s excellent cookies.
The players and followers wanted a way to get these cookies even while she was not around.

In 2008 when Justin made his major league debut she thought it would be a great idea to send cookies to the press box for Don Orsilo and Jerry Remy, the Red Sox announcers. After one taste they rubbed it in to the Nation how great the cookies were. After a little convincing and some planning, Meryl opened Home Plate Cookies to allow everyone to enjoy her tasty cookies.

In 2009 Meryl stepped out of the home kitchen, into the bakery.

Still a young company, Meryl works hard to shop, bake, package and ship her beloved cookies, not because she has to, but because she loves too. Some call them the best cookies in the world, we just let our fans due the talking, and Meryl and her now small team of “elves” do the rest.

Even better than the Home Plate Chocolate Chip or Grand Slam Snickerdoodle cookies, though, are Home Plate Cookies’ mission: All profits from every order currently are donated to charity, organizations providing care to orphans in the Dominican Republic and around the world. Every Home Plate Cookies customer not only enjoys freshly baked, gift-wrapped cookies, but also knows their purchase has assisted orphaned children around the world.
